- The N.W. Connection -

Tim was born in Seattle, WA. in 1953. He began playing piano and trombone in the 4th grade at Greenlake Elementary School. In Jr. High School (John Marshall), he took up the guitar, electric piano, organ and harmonica, singing in local bands. In the 9th grade, he started playing the bass guitar, which eventually became his main instrument. Tim graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1971 and studied music, primarily voice, at Seattle Central Community College for a year before becoming a full-time professional musician (which he is proud to have been for the past 35 years).

Several successful artists from the Northwest that Tim has performed with include: Robert Cray, Diane Schuur, David Lanz, Kenny G., and Scott Cossu. Also, legendary N.W. artists such as Mark Lindsay, Merrilee Rush, Tiny Tony & the Statics, Ron Holden (as well as his brothers Jimmy and Dave), The Wailers, The Sonics, The Kingsmen, Don & the Goodtimes, The Fleetwoods, Dave Lewis and many more.

A band from Seattle that Tim is particularly proud to have co-founded with Rich Dangel (The Fabulous Wailers, Floating Bridge) was a 7-piece R&B, soul, blues band called The Reputations. They played all over the N.W. from 1980-85, backing such recording artists as Buddy Miles, Etta James and Big Joe Turner.

Tim has been playing in bands since 1966. After living in Los Angeles for a year in 1974, he eventually moved there in 1985. He still goes back to Seattle though, visiting family and playing gigs with his many hometown friends.
